- Sometimes destiny leads you to the right places without you even realizing it. It was an ordinary day when, without any particular reason, I decided to deviate from my route and follow a side road winding through the hills of Gallura. The sun cast playful light among the olive trees, the wind carried the scent of the sea and the earth, and suddenly, I found myself in Viddalba. I didn’t know yet that this village would remain etched in my memory. I stopped for a coffee in the square and exchanged a few words with an elderly local who told me stories of distant times, of thermal waters with millennia-old healing properties, and of travelers who, over the centuries, had found rest among these hills. His tale was magnetic, and before I knew it, I was already picturing a life in this place: slow mornings, walks along myrtle-scented paths, and evenings under a star-studded sky. That’s how I discovered an apartment that seemed to have been waiting for me forever. On the first floor of a small and cozy building, this two-bedroom home exudes serenity. The spacious and bright living room opens onto an open-plan kitchen, while the north-facing veranda becomes the perfect place to enjoy the fresh air without the direct sun of hot summer days. The master bedroom is a peaceful retreat, with morning light gently filtering through the windows. The second bedroom, versatile and bright, can serve as a cozy guest room or a dedicated space for work and creativity. The windowed bathroom, elegant and functional, completes the picture of this apartment designed for those seeking a peaceful corner without giving up comfort. But what truly makes this home special is its setting. Viddalba is not just a village; it is a hidden gem in Gallura, surrounded by landscapes that look like paintings. Here, among thermal springs and archaeological sites that tell ancient stories, every day is a journey through time and beauty. Just a few minutes' drive away, the beaches of the northern Sardinian coast reveal all their splendor: golden sands, turquoise waters, and fiery sunsets. Nature lovers can venture along the trails that wind through the hills, while food and wine enthusiasts can indulge in the authentic flavors of local tradition. Buying this home means embracing a new lifestyle, where time slows down and every moment becomes precious. It is an invitation to rediscover the beauty of simple things, to be inspired by nature, and to feel part of a place that welcomes you with the genuine warmth of Sardinia. If you, too, feel the call of this land, this home could be the beginning of your new story.

- My discovery of this charming apartment in Viddalba was one of those surprises that life reserves when you least expect it. I was in town for a photography project dedicated to the hidden beauty of Italian villages. It was during an evening walk, as the last sunlight caressed the ancient stones of the village, that I stumbled upon this small newly built condominium. On the first floor, through an elegantly finished door, our apartment opens up. The spacious living room, with its open kitchen and south-facing balcony, offers a view that is a hymn to Gallura, with its landscapes fading into shades of green and blue, inviting you to take a break and enjoy the moment. The bedrooms are bathed in warm and reassuring light. The master bedroom is a cozy and serene retreat, where every detail seems to whisper, "welcome home." The single bedroom, versatile and bright, is perfect as a guest room or a study, where one can be inspired by the peaceful surroundings, with a balcony. The bathroom with a window offers refreshing privacy, designed with care to maximize comfort and functionality. In the same building, completing the apartment’s convenience, there is also a covered parking space, allowing you to explore this splendid area by car. But Viddalba is much more than just a backdrop for this home. This village, nestled in the unique landscapes of Gallura, is a treasure trove of history, traditions, and natural beauty. With its natural thermal baths, it is a destination for those seeking wellness and relaxation in the heart of Sardinia. The area is dotted with archaeological sites that tell millennia of history, from nuraghi to giant’s tombs, offering a journey through time to those willing to listen. A few minutes’ drive away, you’ll find beaches where the Sardinian sea reveals all its splendor, with crystal-clear waters and fine sandy shores. Equally fascinating are the hiking trails winding through the hills, where the Mediterranean vegetation opens up to breathtaking views. My visit left me with the certainty that, for someone, this will not just be a house, but a corner of the world where one can find inspiration, peace, and a sense of belonging. And whoever chooses to make this place their home will have found a treasure that goes beyond the value of the property: they will have found a little piece of paradise on Earth.

- I have just landed in Sardinia, and what at first seemed like a misunderstanding - the car I had booked was not available - turned into a wonderful opportunity, and so at our meeting on the beach in the Gulf of Asinara I turn up in a splendid white convertible car. Above us the clear sky, the scent of saltiness, the spring sun and the verdant landscape of this unusually rainy spring all around us as we drive towards Viddalba. Formerly known as Villa alba (white village), built on the edge of the fertile Coghinas plain, it lies on the soft green hills of Gallura. A stroll through the streets of the village allows us to admire the local handicrafts, in particular the processing of textiles. In the stalls, the colours and scents of the many agricultural products produced here stand out. Sardinia is the ideal place to practise sports, sailing, windsurfing and kitesurfing in the Gulf of Asinara, trekking and horse-riding among the fascinating rural roads in the stazzi on the heights bordering the territory to the east and the paths that cross deep red rocks and take us to the peaks also thanks to the windy 'vie chiodate' . This place is so enchanting that we are forgetting why we met here, the attic apartment on the third and last floor of this block of flats. The flat is designed as an open space, a large white-grey living area with an open kitchen area overlooking the first of the two south-facing terraces. The relaxation area overlooks the other north-facing terrace, which is also bathtub-shaped and therefore covered from prying eyes. Both terraces have two inlets that could become, with sliding structures, convenient outdoor storage rooms, where it is also possible to house the motor for the air-conditioning system for which the flat is already prepared. Two large rooms with sloping roofs have been fitted out as beds, which can comfortably accommodate four, while the windowed bathroom with a large shower completes the floor. The surprises don't end there, a few steps away from the house we visit the Casteldoria thermal baths: its salty-bromine-iodine waters with curative properties gush out at over 70 degrees. But the special feature of this moment is an ancient tradition that has been revived, the Gallurese wedding with poetry competitions, horse parades, singing and dancing. I knew that this visit would trigger in you, too, the desire to have a corner of paradise in this fascinating region where you can retreat to enjoy the sun, sea and tradition, and having a proposal already fully furnished...well, you only have to worry about fixing the date of the deed.
